When you give money to Partners in Hope, you are providing funding for  carefully selected organisations which have  a direct impact on children in need for whom institutional care would not provide the individual attention and nurturing environment that our projects are committed to offering.

We strive for efficiency and effectiveness in all our work. We support projects that create new opportunities and have a real impact on the lives of vulnerable children and their families. We continuously monitor and nurture all our projects and strive increasingly to support the key social entrepreneurs who lead these projects.

We encourage funding for the training programmes because it is the most obvious way to build the capacity within the projects and in the regions by running training programmes in areas where there is little access to appropriate services.

Our aim is to build partnerships between businesses, individual donors and the organisations we have carefully selected. Through Partners in Hope such partnerships will maintain a steady stream of income for these organizations.

We also help businesses to sponsor the area of work that best fulfills the aims of their own community investment programmes, through earmarking gifts for specific programmes.

Project Selection Criteria

New Projects

We have chosen to take on two new projects who are able to deliver the training programme we are launching.
Centre for Curative Pedagogics who have 18 years experience in providing training and disseminating knowledge on disability.

Also Big Change who are doing extraordinary work with graduates from orphanages to help them to complete their education and to integrate into mainstream life

However we  are always interested in hearing from other social entrepreneurs working in the field on projects that are providing alternatives to institutional care and if you are requiring a modest amount of support and you abide by the criteria on this page we would ask you to complete our questionnaire on the link below and send it to martha.wansbrough@partners-in-hope.co.uk

We have a rigorous screening process enabling us to select those projects that will make the most difference to their beneficiaries. Projects must:

  • be well-managed
  • demonstrate the ability to build capacity
  • focus on the critical needs of children
  • protect vulnerable children from exploitation
  • work to alleviate poverty
  • be working towards international standards of best practice.

As well as creating partnerships with businesses to provide essential, sustained funding, we aim to support projects by nurturing their growth and giving expert training in organisational and management skills, including auditing, reporting and book-keeping. We promote best practice in childcare and effective management.

We use all donations with prudence. Our overheads are minimal so we can ensure that the maximum amount of money reaches the projects we support. As a UK charity we are able to protect donations entering Russia and guarantee money gets to the right place.

Our current focus now is to fund training programmes to increase the availablility of special needs teachers nationwide although we are still supporting certain projects providing children with autism and severe disabilities day care centre We are also still committed  to integrating children with learning difficulties into mainstream education.

You can find out more about our goals for each project by clicking on the links above.

Our current objectives
To focus our resources on replicating the expertise and standards of excellence that prevail in the NGO’s we are supporting so that more children can benefit.  Train more teachers.
An integral part of this new programme is to build co-operation between NGOs and Government Institutions  to ensure that standards of education offered to students with special needs are of high quality throughout Moscow and the regions
